Martha Hanlon Architects, INS

PROFILE

Since 1998, Martha Hanlon Architects, Inc. has provided quality design and project management for Fairbanks and Interior Alaska. Firm focus is healthcare and commercial architecture, although we have experience and expertise in a wide variety of building types, including churches, hotels and schools. Working with a variety of project delivery systems, from competitive bidding to design/build, MHAI has built a reputation for excellent design and efficient delivery of comprehensive construction documents.

We believe the best projects are a collaborative effort from programming through construction completion and include the client, design team and the contractor team. Our most important goal is to create projects that go beyond simply satisfying the diverse functional needs of our clients; we want our designs to enhance and expand the functional experience through light, form, material and color.

Although MHAI is a small firm, we design large projects, often by teaming with other architects who are specialists in their field. These kinds of relationships provide a pool of additional resources which allows our firm to expand as necessary and yet stay small enough that firm principal, Martha Hanlon, is in touch with day-to-day work on every project in the office. Quality and consistency are the keys to building lasting relationships with each client and Ms. Hanlon believes that her participation and leadership are essential to all projects taken on by the firm, regardless of size.
